TerraSlate paper is a digital-compatible, durable, rip-proof, and 100% waterproof synthetic paper that can print through any laser printer or copy machine. TerraSlate Paper is an ideal solution for both indoor and outdoor applications or for when your printed materials will be subject to heavy handling or extreme environmental conditions.
Available in various sizes, thicknesses, and colors, TerraSlate's versatility makes it useful across a wide array of industries. TerraSlate can be hole punched, folded, scored, and cut using scissors or cutting machines while remaining 100% waterproof.
About 8 Mil TerraSlate:
8 Mil TerraSlate Waterproof Paper is a medium-weight stock that is roughly equivalent in weight and thickness to an 80lb card stock. 8 Mil is the beginning of the commercial and industrial-scale for waterproof paper applications yet is still easy to print through a desktop laser printer.
This weight is well-suited for projects that require a weight that is thicker than a sheet of regular copy paper, but one that not as heavy as our 10 Mil or a cover stock weight. It is a great balance of thickness and cost for applications that need a relatively thick stock on a balanced budget.

Printing Tips!
When printing 5Mil TerraSlate, use the regular paper or the glossy paper setting for the best results.
Consider UV nano-coating for the best toner protection on applications such as menus, or ask us about our printing services. This will eliminate the possibility of toner transfer if sheets are stacked wet and left to dry.
What is TerraSlate made of?
TerraSlate is made from military-grade polyester and is made without layers which means that it will never delaminate, crack, peel, or fray at the corners. It prints equally on both sides as the front and the back are exactly the same. TerraSlate prints quickly and easily at high speed with low amounts of static electricity. It is FDA Food Contact Safe, colorfast, and can be both sanitized and washed with soap and water.
Can I print and write on it?
TerraSlate can be written on with a ballpoint pen or a Sharpie. Pencil also works but can smear in some situations. It is compatible with laser printers, copy machines, and digital printing presses but is not compatible with inkjet printers. Is it of archival quality?
TerraSlate is of archival quality and acid-free. It is also the exact same on the front as the back so that you can print and write on both sides equally. It can be recycled as a #1 recyclable but please note that like anything, TerraSlate may or may not be able to be recycled into new materials at your local recycling center which is why we strongly encourage re-use whenever possible.
